Before booking a driving test, each candidate must first pass the theory test, this is a computer based test conducted at a venue in your area, we supply all theory training materials free of charge using computer based training and if required, we can also supply good old pen and paper questions and books to study.
When you arrive to register you must show both parts of your Provisional Driving Licence. You will be given a locker for all your personal items including food and drinks. (if your licence is the old style paper version you will need to provide photographic ID (passport). You are allowed to take a practice test if you want to get used to the touch screen. Your pass mark for the theory test is 86% (43 / 50) Included in this Theory section is a case study part. You will be given a scenario then asked five questions about it. You will be able to see how much of the 57 mins is remaining from the timer displayed on the screen. Once you have completed this section there is a 3 minute interval (if required) before proceeding to the Hazard Perception part of the test.
The Hazard Perception test consists of 14 clips showing actual scenes from varying traffic situations. Your mark will be assessed on the timing of the click of the mouse as you react to the developing hazard. There are a total of 15 developing hazards (one clip contains two) and you must get 44/75 points to pass this section.
